Facts from the obituary in the Harbor Beach Times from 12. November 1909 about Elisabeth Wollschläger: Mrs. Michael Wolschlager, aged 81, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Victor Shubatowski. Elisabeth Roggenbuck was born in Floetenstein, Germany, July 15. 1828. She was married at the age of 22 to Michael Wolschlager, eight children were born, six daughters and two sons, if which seven suvive. They came to America in 1881, settling in this (Harbor Beach) township. Mr. Wolschlager died 24 years (recalc. 1885) ago. .......Michael Wolschlager, Mrs. Schuabe (Schwabe), Mrs. Roggenbuck, Mrs Kanthak and Mr. Hans Hanson of Alpena, attended the funeral.
Elisabeth Certification of death shows her parents as: Franz Siegert and Caroline Kaiser from Bromberg. The only conclusion could be, that Elisabeth first married a Roggenbuck in Flötenstein and than Michael Wollschläger. Her birthdate is given as: April, 6 in 1828.
Some verbal and written infos list the first name of her husband as August, not as Michael.
The couple August and Elisabeth Wollschläger arrived with ship Habsburg from Bremen in New York on 19 April 1881. With five children: Anna,26; Michael,18; August,17; Susanna,16; Maria,7.
